Cinnamon meets Tuna Melts My Heart and his lovely mom Courtney Dasher

November 18, 2013 – Every day I am amazed by how much I miss Rosie – I’ve been on the planet for over 50 years and she was with me for such a short time (way too short) – it never occurred to me how much my routine had changed, how much I had come to depend on her for inspiration, and how much she impacted every area of my life – all for the better.

In addition to educating folks about hoarding and backyard breeding, Rosie’s page has tried hard to cast a positive light on animals with special needs, senior animals, and animals who just look a little unusual. Perfectly imperfect is my favorite way to describe these beautiful souls.

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting Tuna Melts My Heart and his lovely mom Courtney Dasher. While Tuna is neither special needs nor a senior, he has that fabulously unusual snout, and he is a former shelter dog! I fell in love with him at first glance and used to show Rosie his photos. I regret they never had a chance to meet – he is a very sweet and friendly soul, I know Rosie would have adored him!

I’m sharing this because I think Courtney has done a terrific job at presenting Tuna in an uplifting and inspirational way. Her mission is to bring joy and a smile to the world with her special man and I think she is accomplishing that mission!!! If you aren’t already following Tuna, please visit his page and fall in love as I did! Dogs like Rosie and Tuna will change your life for the better – I promise – please visit your local shelter or rescue and get ready for the love!

Tuna and I had the absolute pleasure of meeting a very special new friend yesterday! Cinnamon, pictured here with Tuna, is the mother of Rosie of Everything Rosie! Ever since I heard about Rosie a few months ago, I loved her because in a lot of ways, she reminded me of Tuna. Sadly sweet Rosie passed away 5 weeks ago from health complications, but her mother wanted to meet up with Tuna and I, so we made it happen! Cinnamon is an incredible woman that tirelessly serves the animal community as a rescuer and advocate for all animals. She is inspiring and wonderful and I’m so grateful that we got to meet her.
