Aug 6th, 2014 – Meeting Scrat’s vet team at VCA West Los Angeles today

Miss Scrat and her two buddies were rescued by Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue and I am partnering with Zach to help these sweethearts get the medical care and love they so deserve. It’s a great team effort!

Scrat and I met Zach’s vet team at VCA West Los Angeles today. She had an ultrasound and a full round of tests to see what she needs. The good news is that her heart and lungs are strong! The not so great news is the mammary mass might be cancer and needs to be removed a.s.a.p. So Thursday she will have surgery to remove the mass and she will also be spayed. We won’t know if she has cancer until the removed tissue is biopsied but cancer or not…she is a happy vivacious girl and we will make the best of what time she has!!! If you would like to help Marley’s cover the cost of the surgery, you can donate for Scrat and the boys here:

I will post pics when I take her for surgery and will update everyone on Thursday as I get word from the doc. In the meantime, Scrat will practice her selfies…I think she is doing a fine job of documenting her new life!
